The Agreement by S E Lund

Amazon, Amazon, Amazon. The one and only place where I’m likely to find another book series thanks to its Facebook ads.

And on that not…where can I get me a Dr. Drake Morgan, because I’m absolutely obsessed. Such a great story and such funny moments. But hey let’s start.

Journalism graduate student Kate McDermott is a good girl who has done everything she can to please her very powerful and domineering father — a Justice on New York’s Supreme Court with hopes for political office. When she decides to write an article about BDSM in popular culture, she tells herself it’s just research and nothing personal for she can’t afford to become the target of gossip or scandal. She hopes that the carefully worded agreement she writes up will keep her relationship with the Dominant she will interview strictly professional.

Then ‘Master D’ – Drake Morgan – walks into the interview and Kate is mortified for not only is he gorgeous, he’s the son of her father’s best and oldest friend…

Drake Morgan, MD, bass player, philanthropist – Dominant. Known as Master ‘D’ in Manhattan’s BDSM Community, Drake must keep the kinky side of his life secret to protect his very successful career as a neurosurgeon. After a heartbreaking divorce, Drake doesn’t do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn’t do breakfast in bed the morning after. He keeps everything in his well-ordered life separate and under his firm control.

Then Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up. Now, nothing is neat and tidy anymore, and no longer under control for Drake is smitten and things are going to get messy…

From Amazon Bestselling Romance author S. E. Lund comes a story of two people who find themselves in each other’s arms. The Agreement will stay with you long after you read the final page.

I really love this book, like really LOVE. There’s drama and romance, but there’s also blackmail and the end of a long relationship.

Kate is so saucy! She’s such a relatable character. I mean, asserting her independence, her curiosity about the BDSM world, her doing something she doesn’t want to just to please her father. Some of these more so than other traits, but she’s an absolute joy to read.

Drake Morgan is such an interesting character, I fell in love with him along with Kate. He’s a little mysterious, but quite entertaining. The man has got determination! And Drake plotting with Kate’s father, those two are sneaky.

While Kate’s father is absolutely fine with Kate and Drake, despite knowing about about his, hmm I guess the best way to put it would be, preferences. Kate’s best friend, on the other hand, is not. Which absolutely is heart-breaking, because, hello what happened to girl power? Although, It wasn’t Kate’s fault. But really, S E Lund? Did a friendship have to be ruined because of a guy, that is not alright at all.

Despite all that, it made it a little suspenseful; would they get caught or not, would they begin an actual relationship or…? I actually love this series. although this is not the first time I’ve read this novel, or series, I enjoyed it like it was the first time I read it. If you decide to read this novel, be prepared for laughter, a few tears and a great read.
