Before you continue, go and check out Denial, since this is the sequel to that novel. It became so popular among readers that eventually we got this novel and a continued series.

The sexy, breathtaking mystery continues in New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones’s stunning second novel in the suspenseful Careless Whispers series—where shocking revelations will reveal themselves and nothing, and no one, will ever be the same.

Still struggling with amnesia, Ella questions everything she’s known about Kayden Wilkens—the alluring stranger who claims to have found her unconscious in an alleyway a month earlier. But was he truly a stranger—or did Kayden know her before his supposed rescue? Tormented by the potential betrayal he denies, with fleeting memories of a bombshell in her recent past, Ella must face a hard reality. Every action has consequences . . . and trusting Kayden, the one thing she most desires, might result in the direst consequences of all.

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, whose searing novels generate “enough heat . . . to start a fire” (RT Book Reviews), dares you to fall in love with her irresistibly surprising and sexy new series.

Whoa…. So much happened.

Obviously, Kayden and Ella are a thing. But Ella is remembering a lot more of her past, which is good…and bad. As I was reading, I couldn’t help but think if Kayden is really trying to help or is he after what the French and Italian mob are after? And Ella’s flashbacks…what is really going on? I’m at least glad that she is finally starting to remember Sara.

Kayden and his treasure hunters, WHAAAA??????? Needless to say, I figured something was up. At least it wasn’t illegal. But all the drama it caused, don’t know how to feel about that. Hmmm how will this play out? I honestly don’t know.

I did say that Kayden and Ella are together, I meant that relatively. It feels like they’ve known each other for what seems like forever but, have only known each other for a short amount of time. They’re also trying to keep each other at a distance, because duh! She doesn’t know the amount of danger she is in or even who she really is.

This novel definitely moved faster than the ones in the Inside Out series. Which makes sense since this is only a trilogy. Oh some of the mystery is solved. But was it a set up? There’s so many questions that arise with each moment.

It has been a while since I last read this, probably an entire month. As far as reactions and plotlines this is all I remember. But I do remember I had a hard time putting the book down. It was such a great story and so much mystery.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
