Craving by Helen Hardt

I have become obsessed! Seriously, IT’S SO GOOD!

After being left at the altar, Jade Roberts seeks solace at her best friend’s ranch on the Colorado western slope. Her humiliation still ripe, she doesn’t expect to be attracted to her friend’s reticent brother, but when the gorgeous cowboy kisses her, all bets are off.

Talon Steel is broken. Having never fully healed from a horrific childhood trauma, he simply exists, taking from women what is offered and giving nothing in return…until Jade Roberts catapults into his life. She is beautiful, sweet, and giving, and his desire for her becomes a craving he fears he’ll never be able to satisfy.

Passion sizzles between the two lovers…but long-buried secrets haunt them both and may eventually tear them apart.

So it’s obviously a romance, but honestly, it’s so much more! I don’t even know where to begin. Okay… here we go.

Talon –  something happen to him. Not entirely sure what or when, I just know that he was young. It had nothing to do with his tours in Afghanistan or Iraq; also, it seems to have occurred even before then.

This event that occurred is the bases for the whole Saga. It not only traumatized Talon, but also Jonah and Ryan, his older and younger brothers. Marjorie has no idea and it’s beyond frustrating. It apparently takes Jade entering the picture for the Steel brothers to begin trying to unravel this mystery.

And this event…. traumatic enough that Talon ends up fainting on his way out from a trial run at therapy.

Jade – left at the altar the week before this series starts. And thank goodness for it, as I am already done with the six books I know how her ex-father-in-law is. She’s strongly attracted to her best friend’s brother, the one she hadn’t met during her previous visit.

There’s also the whole issue with Jade’s ex, Colin. I for one am glad for the turn of events. It gives us something else to focus on. And all kinds of questions arise. For example, is he going to become a nuisance or will there be other problems with him? This leaves so many possible options for the story to go, which is good because MORE BOOKS. 😀

Between the mystery and Talon pushing Jade away, I have never been more frustrated or irritated with a novel. And this was good, because it has me hooked!!

I can’t get enough of it! Hope you enjoy!!
